Nollis Dewar born March 14, 1985 is an actor and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California. He is best known for his film roles in Xxenos (2019), Profited (2018) and Myron Gallimore (2017). Nollis is a series regular on the innovative award-winning mini series Coconut Hut (2018).

Nollis Dewar was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica to father Myron Dewar and mother Juliet Reid. He is the oldest sibling of six sister and four brothers. His parents were only teenagers at the time of his birth were incapable of financially and mentally supporting a young child. They decided to leave him in care of his grandmother’ Vita Myrie shortly after his birth. At the age of four at his grandfather’s workplace “The Pork Pit” a popular restaurant in Montego Bay Nollis met a woman by the name of Rosa Sanders an American citizen from Los Angeles, California. Rosa was visiting the Caribbean island with plans of starting a new life in Jamaica. Rosa Sanders adopted Nollis in the year 2000 and he migrated to the United States of America on July 21, 2001.


Nollis earned a full athletic scholarship to the University of Connecticut where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology in 2012. Mr. Dewar has been featured in the Bajun Sun Magazine, Trinidad Express Newspaper, Blue Life Magazine, Episteme Magazine, Caribbean E-magazine and Jamaica Observer newspaper. Nollis is a member of the Caribbean American Repertory Theatre West. “CART West” is a wonderful Caribbean Arts, Culture and Humanities theater group in Los Angeles, California. Annually they produce live theater throughout Los Angeles, California.
